Wood Processing is Raute’s largest business unit with main production facilities in Nastola, Finland. It develops and manages Raute’s technology portfolio covering all key sub-processes of veneer, plywood and LVL production. The Wood Processing Business Unit is responsible for engineering and design, projects, production, procurement and supply chain, automation, and research and development. Project deliveries make up a large part of Raute’s business, and in mill-scale projects, Raute is the global market leader both in the plywood and LVL industries. We can supply tools for the entire production process covering the entire investment life cycle both in technologically advanced markets and modernizing ones.
Raute Analyzers focuses on making the most out of raw material and minimizing overall waste in veneer, plywood, LVL, and lumber production. It has product development and production in three location – Kajaani and Oulu, Finland and Pullman, USA. Analyzers’ advanced data analysis is the key for productivity and the quality of production. Analyzers utilize machine vision, moisture detection, and strength analysis combined with digital tools in the grading of veneer and plywood, and the optimization of the production process. Our portfolio covers all production functions and solutions for the R7-, R5-, and R3-Series.
Raute Services help customers to maintain existing machinery and to improve production. We serve our worldwide customer base in 13 locations – Canada, Chile, Indonesia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Singapore, and the USA (2), plus the service resources working out of our main manufacturing hubs.
With a powerful combination of equipment and services, we constantly develop new solutions in our production plants and technology and competence centers in Canada, China, Finland, and the USA.
