Raute Service put Raute Veneer Peeling Line R3 into operation in Mozambique, Africa. Hop on to the journey!

Cold weather and an amazing landscape! But that’s not all Sergey Shishkin, Mechanic, and Maksim Kazarinov, Automation Engineer, have to say about Mozambique having come back home from there. Raute Service Engineers have spent the whole of August in Mozambique, Southern Africa at the NiassaGreen Ply mill.

The journey was unusual from its very start – hasty packing, interview with the Ambassador of Mozambique, a country very different from Russia – but all that didn’t stop the men from getting their job done. They had the challenging task of starting-up the Raute Veneer Peeling Line R3, which had been delivered to the mill in 2021.

Besides starting up the peeling line, they had to put some machines from our Asian partners into operation – 3 press dryers, chipper, grinding unit, and conveyors. Did they manage? You bet they did! Raute Service team is always glad to have such opportunities and will happily take on new challenges!
