Our people are important as this is not a one-man show, it’s teamwork.

I work as a project and maintenance manager, leading a team of 20 service professionals that transferred to Raute from Paged Estonia in early 2024. My responsibilities are quite broad, ranging from being a supervisor and the local HR person to being responsible for local customer relations, which is the most important thing.

I have worked for almost 20 years in the machinery service business, ranging from metal to wood industries, and joined Raute in January 2024. In my previous job, I was responsible for maintenancee at a plywood factory using Raute’s equipment, so even if my employment history with Raute is short, I’m acquainted with the company and its offerings. Working for Raute is enjoyable as I feel that my managers listen to me, and I can influence my work. I can do and change things, and I am respected.

Our people are important as this is not a one-man show, it’s teamwork. Many of my local colleagues have worked here for a long time, and I think they are now seeing a big change after they became part of Raute. Someone is taking care of them and developing their skills. Taking care means that safety is the first priority. I want everybody to go home from work unhurt. This is also what our customers want to develop, and they are very interested in taking part in their journey together with Raute.

When it comes to promoting development, my vision is that we can, for example, deepen even further the internal cooperation we have with the specialists from Raute’s main production site in Lahti. Our local personnel sincerely want to learn from these people.
