There is always a "fit-to-your-need" line from Raute's own offering for any and all production processes starting from log handling, running through veneer production to plywood, LVL, or solid wood panels.
Machines
The core of production lines is made of machines. Many of Raute’s machines can be installed into existing lines as modernizations, also to other brand but Raute lines.

Making the most out of your raw material is made possible by modern analyzing systems. Intelligent analyzers make the right decisions at right time. Raute offers a wide variety of different types of analyzers for veneer, plywood, LVL, and lumber production.

Raute offers services worldwide to maintain existing veneer, plywood, and LVL production machinery and to improve the production.
Wesbeam partnered with Raute to implement two key technology modernizations: the Veneer Visual Analyzer R7 – Composing and the Veneer Visual, Moisture and Strength Analyzer R7 – Drying modernizations.
In July 2024, Wesbeam undertook a major camera system modernization on its veneer composing line, replacing its legacy grayscale VCA system with Raute’s cutting-edge Veneer Visual Analyzer R7 – Composing technology. This intelligent automation improved defect detection, precision clipping, and automated grading, reducing waste and maximizing material usage.
Building on this success, in January 2025 Wesbeam implemented Raute’s R7 technology for dry-veneer visual, moisture, and strength grading, uniting these capabilities into a single platform. The result is market-leading accuracy across all wood species, highly reliable production-integrated strength grading, and deeper, real-time insights into veneer integrity, further elevating operational efficiency and quality.
