The patented Veneer Patching Line R5 is an automated patching solution with manual stacking. Using the same proven patching technology as the fully automated R7 Series, it helps improve veneer utilization, quality, and productivity while offering a cost-effective entry point to automated patching.

Compared to manual repair, the line significantly increases patching capacity and consistency while requiring only one operator to manage veneer stacking at the end of the line. With two patching stations, the line can achieve capacities of up to 6,400 patches per hour.

The Veneer Patching Line R5 features an integrated analyzer for automated defect detection and veneer grading. This technology supports accurate repair decisions, optimized veneer recovery, and consistent patched veneer quality.

For continuous performance improvement, the line can be connected to the Raute MillSIGHTS production intelligence system, transforming production data into actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
